Amazing & Easy Sloppy Joes Recipe
Ingredients Needed:
- 3 teaspoons olive oil
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 2 teaspoons steak seasoning (or sloppy joe seasoning)
- 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 1 carrot, grated (or finely diced)
- 1 red pepper, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 Tablespoon red wine vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 – 8-ounce cans tomato sauce
- 2 Tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 Tablespoon maple syrup
- Salt to Taste
Instructions:
Place a large skillet on the stove. Add 1 teaspoon of olive oil and ground beef to the skillet. Cook the beef over medium-high heat until no pink remains.
Drain the excess fat and add the brown sugar and steak seasoning to the ground beef.
Mix well.
In a separate pan add remaining 2 teaspoons of olive oil. Add prepared carrot, onion, red pepper, garlic, red wine vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the veggies are tender.
Add the cooked meat, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and maple syrup to the veggie pan. Stir to combine. Reduce heat to simmer and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Add salt to taste (as needed).
Place this wonderful mixture between two hamburger buns, eat, and enjoy.

- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 2 tsp steak seasoning, (or Sloppy Joe seasoning)

Freezer Instructions:
If you are wanting to make this meal to freeze for a future time, then you're reading the right instructions! Prepare and cook this meal according to the recipe's instructions. Allow the meal to cool to room temperature. On a freezer-safe gallon-sized plastic bag, write the expiration date (3 months from the day the meal is being made), reheating/cooking instructions, and the name of the recipe. Place the mixture in the freezer bag and remove as much air as possible. Place in the freezer to enjoy at a future time. When you're ready to eat this freezer meal, take the freezer-safe bag out of the freezer the night prior to cooking. Allow this bag to thaw in the refrigerator. After the ingredients have thawed, warm the mixture in a saucepan over low-medium heat until warmed through.
