Couples Halloween costumes that are fun?! Yes, please! This list of Halloween costumes is perfect for couples who want to dress up this Halloween. Keep reading to find your favorite creative costume idea. You’re going to love the costumes in this list.
I love planning our family’s Halloween costumes each year.
For me, fall jumpstarts my “creative bug” with the three big holidays (Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas) along with 90% of our family’s birthdays being this time of year.
There is something magical that happens when you feel like you can express yourself creatively, whether through home decor, gift wrapping, or in fun Halloween costumes.
For the past couple of years, my husband’s had to work every Halloween. This left me to plan the children’s costumes (last year they were the “Animal Crew” and we had everything from monkeys to puppies – they were so cute!)
But each year, I missed dressing up with him and finding a cute couples Halloween costume to share.
Now, I’m going to be honest, my husband is not one for dressing up or going out of his way to celebrate a holiday (unless bacon is involved) – until this year.
5 Fun Couples Halloween Costumes You’ll Want To Wear
And this is why this list of fun couples Halloween costumes is perfect!
Whether your spouse loves to dress up, or is like my husband and would rather stay home and eat the candy instead of sharing, there is something for everyone on this list.
The Perfect Anti-Social Couples Halloween Costume
If your spouse loves socializing and you’d rather cuddle up with a good book instead of talking to people, then you’re going to love this “Silent Film Stars” Halloween costume.
My favorite part of this costume is the black and white signs that were created. You and your spouse could create a small number of signs that have responses to basic questions you’ll be asked at a party, eliminating the need to have any verbal social interaction.
(You do need to stay in character, right?!)
The Social Media Couple’s Halloween Costume
Diana Rambles has some fun couples Halloween costumes using a white t-shirt.
One idea is her “hashtag couples” shirt (for the Twitter or Instagram users), but the most fun social media t-shirt she and her husband made is the “thumbs up/down” couples costume for you Facebook fanatics. You’ll have to check them out here!
Reliving Childhood One Toy At A Time
Who didn’t play with a Mr. Potato Head as a kid? (For whatever reason, I still think we all find a little bit of happiness in making him look like a Picasso painting.)
If you’re looking to save money and put together a really simple couples Halloween costume, then you’ll love this Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head idea. You’ll need quite a bit of paper, but the clean-up (simply throw away when you’re done) is worth putting the costume together.
Harry Potter Couples Halloween Costume That’s Actually Creative
I know that the Potter, Granger, and Weasley trio have been overdone so many times.
This is why I love this tutorial on how to create your own Quidditch jersey. Raegun Ramblings shares a time when she needed a quick Halloween costume for her and her husband.
She dressed up as the golden snitch (a bright and shiny yellow shirt with wings) and made him the jersey in less than 1 hour.
I thought this was a very clever way of doing a Harry Potter theme without actually being Harry Potter.
For The Couple Who Loves Saturday Morning Cartoons
I came across this Inspector Gadget and Penny costume and absolutely loved it! (Who didn’t watch Inspector Gadget as a kid?)
Alexis from Persia Lou does a great job showing how you can do the same costume without any headache or hassle.
One I love most about each of these couples Halloween costumes is their originality and creativity. There is something for everyone, whether you’re anti-social like my husband, wanting to be creative and have a little fun in the design process, or are looking for a costume that’s quick and easy.
I’m going to try to get the Inspector Gadget theme song out of my head.
In the meantime, be sure to leave a comment and let me know which couples Halloween costume is your favorite.
