I felt physically sick when I sent my daughter to school for the very first time.
I kept telling myself that dinner last night didn’t agree with me, but that was a lie.
Between lack-of-sleep with a newborn and feeling a little helpless with how quickly my children are growing up – I was a disaster waiting to happen.
Fast forward nine months and my daughter has blossomed as a kindergartener.
By the end of the school year, she was drawing pictures of her and her teacher solving mysteries, being princesses, and fighting dinosaurs.
All of these pictures had the words, “I love you Ms. Stiles” written in choppy (but cute) handwriting.
Her kindergarten teacher is a superhero.
Why I Created An Avengers Superhero Mug Instead Of This
I spend what felt like hours scrolling through Pinterest trying to find the perfect teacher appreciation gift idea to DIY on my Cricut.
There are some really cute ideas, but nothing SCREAMED superhero.

It wasn’t until my husband and I secured a babysitter for the evening so we could sneak off to watch the final Avengers movie.
The “A” logo slapped me in the forehead.
It was perfect!
Today, I’d like to show you how to DIY this superhero mug for your favorite teacher.
You’ll need to grab the teacher SVG file, which you can find in our Shop here.
Once you have the SVG file, let’s get crafting!

Upload Your SVG File
After you grab the teacher svg, you'll want to upload this file into Design Space and follow the instructions in the PDF.
Putting Everything Together
Place your vinyl on the cutting mat and have your die-cutting machine do all the hard work.
Once the vinyl is cut, weed the surrounding areas.
Place a piece of transfer tape over your cut vinyl and secure the two together.
Peel back the transfer tape (making sure your project is perfectly attached to your vinyl) and gently place on your mug.
Pro Tip For Making Your Mug Look Professional
Working with a curved surface is not easy.
If you're wanting to make your mug look professional, I strongly encourage you to decide where you want the vinyl to go on your mug.
Then, place the vinyl on that spot starting with the center of the project (in this project's case, the center is the section with the "T" for teacher).
This will allow you to place the vinyl on the mug one side at a time and slowly work around those curved surfaces (especially to avoid wrinkles).
