20 Mom-Approved Easter Songs For Kids That Are Actually Fun To Listen To

These kids’ Easter songs are perfect for singing along and dancing. Your preschooler or children’s choir will love them! Come find your favorite Easter song.

I am so grateful I found a few Easter songs my kids love that doesn’t shout “Baby Shark!”

Not that I don’t like “Baby Shark”, it’s just that too much of a good thing isn’t great, you know?

Like when you go back for that third piece of chocolate-pumpkin cheesecake.

You know you shouldn’t, but it’s so irresistible. It’s calling your name, and then you spend the next several hours in regret from a tummy ache.

Unlike chocolate-pumpkin cheesecake and “Baby Shark”, these kids’ Easter songs are a crowd-pleaser for kids and adults alike.

In order to help you find the best Easter song for your kids, I’ve split this list into different sections depending on your needs.

You’ll find your favorite Easter song videos, lyrics, suggested movements for children (such as clapping, snapping) and more!

After you look through this list, I would love to know what your favorite Easter song is? You can leave me a comment on this post and we will keep adding songs to this list!

Easter Bunny Songs With Easter Bunny Videos

If you’re ready to put a little “hop” in your step, you’re going to love these happy Easter bunny songs! The best part is the festive bunny videos that your child will enjoy singing along to.

Trust me on this one, these are the ones my kids beg to listen, watch, and sing along with (and they helped me find a lot of these Easter videos).

Here Comes Peter Cottontail
The Kiboomers

“Here comes Peter Cottontail
Hoppin’ down the bunny trail’
Hippity hoppin’, Easter’s on its way!

Bringin’ every girl and boy
Baskets full of Easter joy
Things to make your Easter bright and gay

He’s got jelly beans for Tommy
Colored eggs for sister Sue
There’s an orchid for your mommy
And an Easter bonnet too

Oh! here comes Peter Cottontail
Hoppin’ down the bunny trail
Hippity hoppity, happy Easter Day

Here comes Peter Cottontail
Hoppin’ down the bunny trail
Hippity hoppin’, Easter’s on its way

Try to do the things you should
Maybe if you’re extra good
He’ll roll lots of Easter eggs your way

You’ll wake up on Easter mornin’
And you’ll know that he was there
When you find those chocolate bunnies
That he’s hiding everywhere

Oh! here comes Peter Cottontail
Hoppin’ down the bunny trail
Hippity hoppity, happy Easter Day
Hippity hoppity, happy Easter Day.”

B-U-N-N-Y
Easter Bunny Song for Kids

My children LOVE The Kiboomers. Their animations are adorable and their songs are catchy.

And I refuse to admit that I’ve listened to one or two of their songs without my children (even though I totally have!)

B-U-N-N-Y is set to the tune of “BINGO” and will have kids clapping along as they sing this fun song.

You can find the music for this song HERE.

Five Little Bunnies
David Allen

This fun Easter song is set to the tune of “5 Little Ducks”.

For smaller children, you can have them holding up their fingers and count down as they interact with this “hoppy” song.

The Way The Bunny Hops
The Kiboomers

“The Way The Bunny Hops” is set to the tune of “The Wheels On The Bus”.

My children loved how catchy this song was and became one of their most requested Easter songs (outside of their favorite Christian Easter songs).

“This is the way he flops his ears,
Flop, flop, flop.
Flop, flop, flop.
This is the way he flops his ears
On Easter day!”

This is one of my kids’ favorite verses to this song because they will shake their heads as if they have long ears.

You’ll find the music for this song HERE.

Festive Easter Songs For Kids- Perfect for Preschoolers!

    A Jelly Bean Song

The jelly bean song is fun for older kids.

My youngest kids had a hard time keeping up with the fast-paced beat.

    I’m An Easter Bunny!
    By Suan Paprocki

This is an action song that any child will love! I’ll include the actions with the lyrics.

I’m an Easter bunny, watch me hop! (Hop around)
Here are my two ears, see how they flop. (Bring hands to your ears and flop hands like bunny ears).
Here is my cottontail, here is my nose, (wiggle hips and point to nose).
I’m all furry from my head to my toes. (Point to head and then to toes).

    Sleeping Bunnies
    Nursery Rhyme

My children love the lyrics to this silly song!

My active children will actually lay on the floor and pretend to be asleep, just so they can jump up as high as they can.

I do have a few children who are introverts and they hold their hands to their head as if they’re pretending to sleep. Finding this happy balance for both spectrums of children has been wonderful.

“See bunnies sleeping till it’s nearly noon
Shall we wake them with a merry tune?

They’re so still, are they ill?
    Wake up soon!

    Wake up little bunnies!
Hop little bunnies, hop, hop, hop, hop, hop, hop, hop, hop, hop
Hop little bunnies hop hop hop, hop hop hop.”

You’ll find the music to this Easter song HERE.

    The Bunny Hokey Pokey
    The Kiboomers

This is another perfect wiggle song to help your kids release all their energy to the tune of “The Hokey Pokey.”

I love the fun actions, like “put your bunny nose in.”

“You put your bunny ears in,
You put your bunny ears out,
You put your bunny ears in,
And you shake them all about.

    You do the Bunny-Pokey,
    And you hop yourself around—
    That’s what it’s all about!”

You’ll find the music to this song HERE.

Christian Easter Songs For Church – Perfect For Preschoolers and Kids

These Christian Easter songs are perfect to help your littles get out their wiggles while teaching them about Jesus Christ.

They each have a fun beat with a sweet message.

But, be careful, some of these songs will get stuck in your head after you listen to them enough times.

Hey friend, these Easter story for kids will captivate your child’s mind and attention as you teach them about the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. You’ll find stories, prayers, scripture verses, and more!

    Jesus Is Alive
    Easter Kids Worship Music

    “Jesus is alive!”

Preschoolers will dance and sing to this catchy song.

Personally, I love the “one, two, three” counting the singers include. They teach children Jesus rose on the third day, while still being a fun song children will enjoy.

You can find the lyrics to this song HERE. You’ll find the music on the Yancy and Friend’s soundtrack HERE.

    Twos: Easter (Song)
    Crossroads Kids’ Club

The focus of Easter is the reflection of Christ’s death and the celebration of his resurrection.

This sweet song focuses on teaching this principle to our small children.

You can find the music for this song HERE.

VICTORY IN JESUS BECAUSE HE LIVES
    BRENTWOOD BENSON

The message of this sweet Easter song is victory found in Jesus.

Some of the words are a bit big for a child’s vocabulary and they may not understand the message this song is sharing.

But I believe that when our kids become excited about Christian music in their childhood, that they’ll continue this in their youth.

You can find the music and lyrics for this song HERE.

My Savior Lives, Let God Arise, My Redeemer Lives
    Chris Christian

The comments to this song are exploding with others wanting the soundtrack for their church’s children choir (the soundtrack is available HERE).

The message is beautiful and children will love dancing to the beat in their preschool.

I do have one concern when I listened to this song myself.

My concern with this song is if children aren’t used to Christian rock, they may not know how to respond to the beat of this music.

Should they dance? Do they clap?

A great deal of discernment should be from you, your church leaders, and prayer.

You will find the music for this song HERE.

Easter Nursery Rhymes To Sing ALong

Sometimes you need the children to sit in a circle for a sing-along.

Maybe it’s time to transition from playtime to quiet time. I’ve found having an impromptu sing-along does wonders for our little children.

Here are a few of our favorites.

      E-A-S-T-E-R
Sung to the tune of “Jesus Loves Me”

E is for Easter, coming again soon,
A is for the angels near the tomb,
S is for stone which was rolled away,
T is for tomb found empty that day.

      Chorus:
      Yes, He is risen!
      Yes, He is risen!
      Yes, He is risen!
      The Bible tells me so!

E is for morning, all are glad,
R is for risen, don’t be sad.
He’ll come back for us someday,
Until then we’ll watch and pray.

      Repeat Chorus

Easter Songs For Kids At Church – Ideas For Your Christian Children’s Choir

      Gethsemane
By Melanie Hoffman from her CD “Stories of Jesus.”

Gethsemane | The original song was written by Melanie Hoffman.

The first time I heard Claire Ryann sing, “Gethsemane” I cried. My heart was touch by this sweet girl and her powerful testimony of Christ.

A year later my daughter, who is about the same age as Claire, sang in the primary children’s choir this same song.

The lyrics and music for “Gethsemane” can be found for free HERE.

      I Feel My Savior’s Love
Words by: Ralph Rodgers Jr., K. Newell Dayley, and Laurie Huffman.

I Feel My Savior’s Love. Music by K. Newell Dayley.

“I feel my Savior’s love; Its gentleness enfolds me, And when I kneel to pray, My heart is filled with peace.”

      2nd verse

We need Christ’s love more than ever in our homes.

And we need to be the ones to teach our children of him as if he is a dear friend – not a faraway fairytale.

I worry that in our quest for self-fulfillment and peace that we forget who the Author of this peace is, even Jesus Christ.

The lyrics and music to “I Feel My Savior’s Love” can be found for free HERE.

      The Miracle
by Shawna Edwards, Song About The Atonement of Jesus Christ

“But I know this, Of all his miracles, The most incredible must be, The miracle that rescues me!

Jesus bled and died, To save me, A price that I could never pay alone, When he rose again he gave me, The greatest gift the world, Has ever known!”

The miracle of the atonement of Jesus Christ and his resurrection is the purpose of Easter. This event is the reason why our souls sing with joy and praise of Him.

Even our littlest of children know this eternal truth.

There are sacred times when I walk past a painting of Christ with an infant in my arms. I study their face as a heavenly smile crest their lips and they reach for Him.

      They shout, “Jesus happy!”

These innocent souls know the Master and they love him.

You will find the music and lyrics to “The Miracle” for free HERE.

      Peace In Christ
By McKenna Hixson from her CD “Peace In Christ”

Peace In Christ. This song is by McKenna Hixson

” There is peace in Christ, He give us hope, When hope is gone. He give us strength, When we can’t go on. He give us shelter, In the storms of life. When there’s no peace on earth, There is peace in Christ.”

This simple children’s song is full of the power of the Spirit.

I love listening to the lyrics with my children and my heart melts as I hear my own children sing this song.

There are times when I feel I am intruding on sacred ground as I listen to my own children sing this song to themselves.

They may be coloring at the table or playing with a toy as their childlike hums fill the air around them.

And I feel I am on holy ground.

You will find the lyrics to “Peace In Christ” HERE. The music is available on the author’s CD, “Peace In Christ”.

      Beautiful Savior
Arranged Darwin Wolford | Silesian folk song

Beautiful Savior. Arranged by Darwin Wolford

” Jesus is fairer, Jesus is purer. He makes the sorrowing spirit sing.”

You can find the music and lyrics to this sweet song for free HERE.

      RISEN
Lyrics by Shawna Edwards & Gary Edwards

Risen – New Easter song. Music by Shawna Edwards

“To set the captives free, Risen to ransom you and me, To bind up every broken heart, To conquer death and sin.

      Risen.”

This new Easter song is powerful.

If you’re looking for the perfect adult-child song, or if you happen to have a large group of children or youth, this is the song I would encourage your group to sing.

The arrangements and lyrics are a powerful reminder of why we celebrate Easter and Christ.

You can find the lyrics to this soul-stirring song HERE. The music is available on the CD “Risen” which can be found HERE.

      Because
Sung By Members Of The Ove Voice Children’s Choir

Because (A Children’s Easter Song) By Shawna Edwards

“Because He conquered death i’ll live again, Because He is my friend, i’ll follow Him. Because He felt all grief and pain. He makes my burden sweet.

And when He comes to earth again. I’ll kneel before His Feet.”

You can find the lyrics to this beautiful song HERE. The music is available on the CD “The Miracle: Songs of Faith For Children & Youth” found HERE.
